It’s over!

I have finally caught ‘Ghost’ after two long gruelling years of ‘Chasin’ him (like I said, four if you count inception — minus the time taken by personal demons and issues). I had a history of banging out two a year since being accepted into the WGA — two a year! A person’s not going to keep their WGA benefits without consistently producing pages — and those are great benefits the union has.

Still, my fault and I will never make that mistake again — not beating out the story because I convinced myself I had it written in my head — bullshit! I missed self-imposed deadline after deadline. I thank God for my ever-caring, forever-patient and constantly nurturing agent (they’re so few and far between). I submitted the draft Friday to my agent and a trusted few who I know will be honest, even cruel, with their comments and suggestions (film is about life, film is about collaboration, so isn’t life about collaboration?).

So until I hear from them with notes I’ll be 37,000 feet and thinking about beating out the next story — step by step by step by step before I ever sit at my desk again.
