… be sitting in the lobby watching this play out — No, that’s not completely true — I’d be Jim’s lookout.
The actual Morrison Hotel is located at 1246 South Hope Street in LA. The guys asked the owner if they could photograph the hotel, but he wanted nothing to do with them and declined, so Jim wandered around the lobby until the desk guy went into the back room. Jim quickly waved the band back inside and with no one watching them — the result was this classic.
